History
The Cesky Fousek used to be the most popular wirehaired pointing dog owned by families in the Czech and Slovakian Republics before the First World War. These dogs were almost extinct after the First World Ward - but luckily these dogs were bred again after this period. Today however, these dogs are second of all the hunting dogs used in the Czech and Slovakain Republics at present.
Characteristics
This breed is very gracious and clever - they also have a very gentle nature and like to show affection towards its owners. These dogs are good in general - obedient and also very watchful. When these dogs are inside, they are quite calm - when they are outdoors they like to be very active. These dogs are specialist pointing dogs, and they are very good at what they do.
Temperament
Cesky Fouseks are very active dogs - they are clever and they are very keen on pleasing their owners and families. They are very happy dogs and they are also very fond of children. These dogs are very devoted and protective if their families - and they don't like to be separated from its family. These dogs should be exercised once a day in order to make sure that agree with their families - these dogs can become destructive if they are left alone for too long. This breed is also very dignified and kind, and they are easily trainable. These dogs bark a lot, and they tend to be a bit wary of strangers.
Care
The grooming requirements of these dogs are fairly low, and their coats can be groomed without and hassle. They should only be brushed regularly with a firm hair brush, and they should only be bathed when it is deemed necessary. The coats of these dogs should also be dried properly after they have been hunting to prevent them from getting too cold. These dogs are not heavy shedding dogs. Training
These dogs train very quickly, and they are very keen on pleasing their owners. The training regime should have lots of variety; otherwise they will get bored fairly easily.
