Would it be better to make dog food?

Hi,
Just a random question, I'm not planning on doing it!

Thinking about how bad some dog foods are, would it be healthier and better for dogs it we made dog food ourselfs? If we used fresh meat, pasta, veg and gravy and mixed it all together.
Would that be better?
I know it would probably be more expensive to buy everything fresh and to make it each day.

Well they say human food is better made from scratch so I couldn't see any reason why dog wouldn't be as well as long the nutrition side of things was checked on as this would be different from human.
p.s How is your dogs doing?
