Dog Stokes in dogs

My 12 yr old labrador bitch has had a small stoke in the night, confirmed by the vet today. I was just wondering if any body knew, we had a terrific thunderstorm during the night and wondered if this could have caused it or not?

Strokes are caused by a bleed or interuption to blood flow to the brain. I dont think the storm would cause this, more likely to be due to the age of your dog.Your vet should be able to advise you.
There is a lot of information on the internet on this, just google 'stroke in dogs'.
