Thinking connection between constipation and peeing accidents?

Hi,

I recently acquired a 3 yr old housebroken beagle female. She will go a pretty long time with no accidents in the house, then she will have them rather frequently. What I have noticed recently is that she seems to get constipation symptoms that coincide with the timing of the accidents. She will be straining to poo, and wimpering. Her previous owner is deceased (which is how I got her), so I can't ask if this has been a long time issue. Does anyone know if there is a correlation between peeing issues and constipation in dogs?

Sorry for the late reply I've been away...

Do you know if there is a change in diet since changing owners?

Also if constipation is a problem you can try maybe putting two teaspoons of bran to his meal. Also exercise is a must to keep bowel movement at its best

I'm not sure about how the peeing and constipation being linked im afraid, i'll try look into it when i have more time and let you know
