Default Wet or dry?

Opinions needed please. We've had Duke for 7 weeks now and have continued to feed him what he was fed on previously (Wagg). Now, i'm aware this isn't the best and had been looking online and researching different brands.

After a trip to the vets this weekend we ended up coming away with a couple of tins of Royal Canin Duck & Rice, which i must say he loves. In a couple of days i've noticed a difference in his coat already. My dilema is do i switch to a wet diet or stick to the dry? I use to just think dog food was dog food until i looked into it.

Can anyone recommend a good slightly cheaper alternative to Royal Canin wet food?

Canned food is definitely costlier and not the best option for daily use. Choose any reputed brand for dry food, but make sure you study the label for the contents. Since dogs are carnivores by nature, check that meat is the main ingredient.

Well, both canend and dry food are not good for health, but if you have to choose, canned food is better. It is digested much better than dry food.

Dry dog food is the most commonly used type of food for dogs. It is cheaper than wet food, and a good brand of dry food will have all the nutrients your dog needs. Another major advantage of dry dog food is that it is hard and crunchy, which is excellent for scraping plaque and tartar from your dog's teeth and keeping his gums clean.

Wet dog food is generally more tasty and appealing to most dogs. However, a problem with wet food is that it is more expensive and typically has a high ratio of water content; meaning you are paying more and getting less.
