Default Dog Behaviour Help Offered

Hi to all,

Well, it's hard to give you my credentials without it being deemed advertising, so please contact me privately for more info, but in short...

My name is James Conroy. I'm returning to the UK in the New Year, and I'm from the Nottinghamshire area. I've been in France for the last three years, training and working with rescue dogs and 'problem' dogs, and problem owners!

I moved here in 2006 when new laws on dog ownership in France meant that owners of certain breeds would have to undergo obligatory owner training by law. I'm very much in favour of this and moved here to become one of the first to qualify to provide this training. I think in that respect, France is leading the way, although I am dead against breed specific legislation. The shelters are now filling up with Rottweilers for example.

I could list my qualifications, experience etc and the organisations that provided the training, but it's all relating to France and Europeean governing bodies. Again, not suitable for here but contact me if you want to know more.

In addition to owner training, my passion is for helping rescue dogs, of which I have four (I can't go there without coming home with another!) I have a boxer with a heart condition (very common for white ones), a lurcher, a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix, and a Rottweiler. I had a white German Shepherd (Swiss) but he died earlier this year after 11 brilliant years.

I'm excited that my local paper, the Mansfield Chad are doing a piece on my return to the UK and and my time in France, and I look forward to hearing from you all.

I'll answer as many questions as I can.

Had a look at your site James. Nice one. Welcome back to the UK, we could do with more decent behaviour people!

Feel free to give me a shout some time.

Nick

Hi.

You will need to start a new thread for this question...it will not get recognised here.

Also. There is so little information that nobody could give a sensible answer even if they wanted to!

Ages, breed, history, location, existing behaviours so on.

Thank you.
