Dog Training Overview | Karen Pryor Clickertraining
You might find some more specific guidance as above. The trouble with 'over treating' a dog is that it can become rather food obsessed. A dog needs to learn to be polite as well as work for food and so on, so we reach a balance with the dog.
Not sure without seeing, but maybe you are over click & treating? How about a few sessions without food and simply reinforce your approval with a bright and positive word such as 'Gooood!' and no food? Any jumping or excessive behaviour results in a less than pleased 'Ah-Ah!' or 'Nooo' if your dog responds to that? So it's about balance
Sincerely hope that helps you a little.
Keep up the good work!
