Default Just got new puppy this week

Hi, I just got an 8 week old puppy on Wednesday. He is a Bichon Frise x Maltese and is gorgeous. I want to make sure he grows up to be a happy friendly dog who tolerates children (I have grandchildren who visit). I also want a dog who doesn't jump up visitors when they come to visit. Can anyone give me any good advice on how best to train him?

Careful and controlled socialisation is of paramount importance here.

No reason why your dog can't get all these things right.

This is the sort of question I could talk hours with you about, but why not look at some of my expert articles here in the experts section. leadership part 1&2 will help offer a balanced thought for you.

Seek out a well run class too, and if funds allow seek a home puppy visit from a specialist. I offer these and they are very effective.

Best.

Nick
