Hi all.
I have 3 main problems I need help with. 1) we have a jack russell dog, Alfie, who is almost 3 years old. he still keeps wetting around the house when we go out and sometimes poos too. we have tried lots of things to no avail. we have 2 other dogs, a 14 year old westie/cairn mix dog, Sam, and an almost 3 year old staff bitch , Roxy, but have no problems with either of these 2. Alfie has not been neutered and we were wondering if this would help as a lot of the time I think he is marking rather than weeing. 2) All 3 dogs bark like crazy if anyone knocks at the door and we have to really fight to move them away from the door to open it. then when anyone comes in, they jump up. Sam will stop jumping up as soon as told but the 2 youngsters don't. Alfie will then jump all over the visitor until we intervene. any ideas? 3) walking the dogs is a nightmare. Sam pulls a little but is usually quite calm. Roxy pulls a lot. we have tried stopping when she pulls, using a harness and giving her treats when she doesn't pull but none have worked. Alfie barks constantly at everything when walking. I was able to take him out once and by giving him small treats every few yards managed a walk when he only barked once or twice but that doesn't seem to work now. we have had Alfie and Sam since they were young pups, Roxy was my husbands dog and they got her when she was 9 months old. she came to live we the other dogs when she was 2. Alfie is the most difficult dog but is very affectionate and quite obedient following simple commands such as sit. but we are at our wits end, particularly regarding problem 1. any advice would be very welcome.
