Snapping/Biting
My Daisy is 3 years old, she is pug/chihuahua mix; very high level of energy. In my house, there are 2 3-year old pugs, a 5 month old chihuahua, and a 2 year old cat. She gets along great with all of them. I have a friend who visits with her 2 year old daughter and 6 month old son and when anyone picks either of the children up, Daisy jumps and snaps at their feet or hands or whatever she can reach. Also, I've noticed that recently, when the 2 year old gets real excited laughing and playing and her voice gets higher, Daisy will lunge at her to either snap or bite. She has gotten the 2 year old a couple of times, but leaves no marks, and she says that it doesn't hurt. I'm very concerned about this behavior. Anys suggestions as to why Daisy is acting this way and/or how to readjust this behavior would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to lock her up when people, children, visit...this is her home and I want her to feel peaceful and safe here. Thanks!!
