Default New and need some advice please!

Hi everyone, Ive decided to come to seek some advice regarding my Collie Retriver Cross!

She is 7 years young and wonderful!

However, She keeps leaving dog food all around the house! She is on complete dry dog food. Its driving me nuts, I have to pick her food up all the time and put it back in her bowl! She takes a mouthful and then wanders either to the hallway or the living room and eats some and leaves the rest GRRRRRR! I have an 18th month old son who thinks its a great game!

Can anyone advise why she is doing this and maybe how I can stop her?

Cheers!

How long has this been going on for?

Seek to feed the dog twice a day and just give 10 minutes to consume the amount given. Any left you lift up and not offer a meal again until the next meal time. This way the dog will focus on eating what's there straight away. It can take a little time for the dog to catch on but stick with it.

What brand is it?

My dog first week in my house, he do same things as yours. But I got an idea to let him eat in our back yard. And also give him a little amount of food. I mean an exact food for him. Not so many just to let him waste it.

Hi, sw vet this morning and recommended exact same thing. I leave a bowl of food out all day and top it up throuhgt out the day. Shes not a greedy dog and likes to pick at what she has. She is on Bakers complete dry food.
But yes I think I will be doing what you have suggested and see what happens.

Many thanks for your response

Rose

Bakers is probably the worst brand available by the way (sorry!) try James Wellbeloved or Burns...Nutritionally superior!
