We have had a beautiful English Setter for just over a week now. She came from a reputable rescue centre and is around 18 to 24 months old, still nervous of everything as her treatment has been poor to say the least.
She has learnt a couple of commands but our problem is getting her to go out for walks, once out she is fine but she will not take treats so training her outdoors is very difficult as we can only make a fuss of her if she does well Any suggestions? |

Sorry for the slack response.
Give this time and keep her safe, building the confidence up gradually you should be fine. Don't stress about not taking food - my own dogs are really quite happy with fuss and a good rub on return as much as food...though each dog is different of course. Cheers, Nick
