Hi all, I have a 9 month old ESS. Generally a great little dog, loves me to bits, always by my side, playful, calms down when told. No complaints for the age of pup.
There are a few weird things however, she tends to urinate a lot without reason. For example if I call her over when at home on the sofa she may dribble all the way or run in a circle while dribblin as if she's in trouble? Has anyone come across this or methods to cure it as such? Thanks |

This is called submissive urination. They often grow out of it. Important not to make a deal of it so as not to heighten the dog's anxiety in any way. Even my male will do this aged 16 months especially if he needs a wee and is being fussed by a neighbour say.
Keep your greetings very low key and calm to help her relax a bit more. So, 1) She'll grow out of it 2) Make no scenes when she does it. 3) Address your greetings, make them calm & quiet. HTH, Nick
