Default Large dogs jumping at patio doors - dangerous!!

Hi, Iv only just registered on here and iv done it because im looking for a 2 fold solution... I have 7 dogs of various ages and sizes and 5 of them sleep at night in the conservatory (its heated) which is quite large (20ft x 8ft) and the patio doors are connected to my lounge with french doors into the garden. All of the dogs spend time in the main house as well but there are times that it is just not practical to have them in the house (for example when I have guests or at meal times etc) so they are put in the conservatory with the door to the garden open for them. My problem is that 2 of the dogs are 18-24 month deerhounds - my beautiful but very needy girls! - and they constantly want to come back in and jump up at the glass doors. The double glazed doors bow visibly under the force of it, 2 x 40+k dogs is quite a force to throw at large pane doors!! I am seriously worried that the doors will shatter one of these days and injure my girls as well as anyone who may be hear the doors at the time.

So... the questions are 1) does anyone have any bright idea's of how to protect the doors ?(which are covered in mud right to the top of them as the deerhounds are as tall as me when on back legs and then jumping up as well!!) so that either the hounds are not jumping directly on the glass or so that it wont shatter (I think maybe there is a film or something that can be stuck over the glass but have no idea where to get it from... and 2) how can I stop them from jumping? This is a tough one as they generally dont get let in when they jump so it is not effective for them to do it, they also dont bark to ask to come in or even sit by it, they just decide to jump!! The only way to stop them at the moment (and it does not always work) is to shut the curtains but I dont want them shut in the daytime so thats not a permanant solution. All suggestions to both questions welcomed.
