Hi everybody. My 4 year old JRT has a stocky neck and a very slim head. I have tried a few different harnesses but if something spooks him on the lead he can just pull backwards and wriggles free. Has anybody any ideas about an "escape-proof" harness/collar? All suggestions and advice gratefully received! Thank you

Apparently its best to just use a normal collar as the harnesses enable your dog to use their body to pull.
I know a lot of people get this problem though and i've heard a cross type harness that goes across the chest works well too but i cant find a link of any i'm afraid. I'm no expert though but like to research and learn these things ![]() |

My ex's JRT was the same and I hooked his harness toh is half choke collar. After about 3 weeks he got bored of trying to escape because I always ut it back on.
But you can get martingale harnesses, that tightne when they try to back out so they can't escape. I can't post URL's yet so go to google and type ''martingale harness'' its the first link that comes up. |
