Hi i'm new as well, I'm due to bring home my new shit zu puppy on the 26/6/11 aged 9 weeks, concerned about how soon injections need to be started, do you know if they should start before 9 weeks of age or at what age.

Hello, I got my Border Collie at 8 weeks and he was also very upset and sick in car journey home however when we got him home he settled in well but was nervous about a lot of things. It will take time and a lot of patience. My border collie wasnt bad at night but that was mainly due to us having an older Jack Russell puppy.

A few things we did with him to settle him in was crate train him so he had his own space, got a loud clicking clock and placed it under the blankets in his bed (to replace the sound of his mother heart beat) and bought a toy from pets at home where you put it in the microwave for a minute and it will replace the warmth off the litter. I would also recommend playing a radio at a low level. The biggest mistake you could do is let them in your bed, bedroom or evewn upstairs. This should be seen as your territory, which they are not allowed in as you must be seen as pack leader.

I hope this was of some help and you enjoy your pups.
