Default Hello!

Hi everyone

I have been reading this forum for some time and thought I should sign up!

I have a 4 year old lurcher cross (possibly labrador but we have no idea!). He was a rescue puppy, his litter was found dumped in a field at 5 weeks old

He's a lovely dog. Inside he's so well behaved, we do let him on the beds and sofas however which we know is very bad but we don't think it affects his behaviour towards us at all.

He's incredibly gentle for such a large dog, you can feed him and he won't even touch your hand. To test how gentle he really is, we let him take a bit of food from a fork once (only once!) and he never even touched the fork!! Our neighbour's chocolate lab is the complete opposite, he'll rip your hand off if you try to feed him!

When we walk our dog however, he's like a different dog! He's still well behaved but he runs off which is very worrying and he gets a bit rough with other dogs. I once lost him on the field I walk him on, I gave up and came home to get help. Got home, and there he was, sitting at the back gate! Very clever dog.

The reason I wanted to sign up is because we're looking into getting a kennel for our rather large dog. Anyone have any recommendations? Just did a quick Google search and thought something like this would be quite good Wooden dog kennels. I'm a bit of a novice though really

Anyway, that's me. Look forward to many more discussions in this great community
