Peace Nipping

Hello, im new to this site i have a 9 week old germen shep/husky called cody he is a good boy we seem to have him house trained and are now training him to sit stay, down ect, the thing is when he play's he is a bit of a nipper, he is not biting more mouthing then anything however it has to stop as the children are little and im concerend they will get hurt, so any helpful tips on stopping my lil fella from nipping when he gets excited and has his funny five minutes? please please help before this gets out of hand, i really don't want him to have to go to a new home just for being too playfull when i can controle this, and move on.

Hi Char,

All pups nip it is part of play to them.
When the pup nips use a very sharp NO command and stop the activity that is causing it to nip. Ignore the pup and only resume play when the pup is calm.
This may take some perseverance and needs to be consistant with all family members.
