The Red light/green light seems to be working. Charlies is behaving a lot better, and I think we are both happier.

That's very good news...well done!

Puppies do in fact need direction and at times a firm hand (whilst never loud or aggressive - not needed) and then to be sure that we reinforce and mark with good timing what it is we do want.
