Default Puppy in apartment

Hi I have a 12 week old mini jack puppy called minxi.

I am at the moment trying to train her to go the toilet on the matts.

unfortunatly, she may once in a blue moon wee on the matt, but never poo's in the same place.

We got her a crate and when we go out or while she sleeps at night we lock her in there. Thing is she wont go the toilet in there she keeps it in until the morning or aims out of the bars.

This morning soon as she woke up I took her out onto the balcony and she had a wee and shortly after had a poo. I praised her and give her a treat, then later on she went on the laminate.

I have had to remove my rug from the living room, as she kept going on that despite me washing it.

Ideally id like her to go in a litter tray on the balcony, and in the day when im out bring it inside so shes not locked u in her cage all the time.

I have tried everything, does anyone know what I can do? please?

Hi, I have a 13 week old puppy who I am trying to train. It is difficult, I have been told that if he goes somewhere that he shouldnt to say No and put him outside straight away, that is if he is just doing it. If it is after he has done something it is too late. My puppy was using my living room carpet and rug a lot but the vet told me to confine him to my kitchen until he is trained so I have not let him into the living room since. Luckily I have a big kitchen and the door is open so that he can roam out into the garden when he wants to. I think its a matter of being patient and persevering with them, and they will get there eventually. Good luck

Sounds like you're on the right tracks, but to remain completely consistent with your training and not to leave her crated for too loong during the day. How long is she crated dutring the daytime please?

Learn to spot the signs of toileting inside before she actually goes so you can get her to the tray! Sniffing, circling, whimpering. After meals, play, upon waking and so on.

Good luck, bare with it.

Nick
