puppy dosn,t want to walk

hi all,i have a 4mth puppy who refuses to go for a walk, i have no trouble putting on her harness & lead but as soon as we get outside she,ll walk a few steps then lies down & refuses to budge, iv,e tried coaxing ect but other than carrying or dragging her along i don,t know what else to do, i thought all dogs loved going walkies!!! can anyone suggest what else i could do ? many thanks montii

I've had exactly the same problem with my puppy. In the end it was purely down to perseverance. Even now, he can be trotting along quite nicely and then bam! brakes go on and I'm hoiked back! We found if two of us went out, one could go in front and coax him along. Once he got to know the routes it made it easier. Just keep at it and hopefully your pup will become interested in walking.Good luck!
