Default Please help - food problem!

I need some help we have a puggle (pug/beagle
Cross) we got him Sat he is 8 and a half weeks old he's been fed on hills dry puppy food the breeder told us to feed him 55g of it per kilo of his weight per day, she said he was 3 kilos I'm rubbish at knowing weights does this seem right? So that would mean 55g 3 times a day. He is hardly eating any of it I'm worried I phoned the vet she said it would be 55kg for the whole a day which is a lot less! I've not weighed him waiting on a friend coming with scales but can anyone help in the meantime?

Manufacturers only offer guidelines, and this can make a huge difference. Feed enough so that your dog is eating about 4 times per day and able to finisher all of that food in one sitting.

I actually ignore the guidelines and feed as above. I also pre soak hard food with hot water, and allow it to cool.

HTH,

Nick.
