Default Scared of glasses??

Hi, I was just sitting down with a mate having a beer and playing some Xbox and all of a sudden my 6 month old pup jumped up and started to growl and do little barks and my friends beer can. So we thought we would put the beers in a glass as we thought it was the cans and he was still really upset running to his crate and hiding. This has really upset me as he is quite an out going little lad.

So I decided to get some treats and bread crumb them from the glass to him and praising him every time he took one. Eventually I got to the point where he stuck his nose into the glass to get the last treat, which I thought was really brave and was really proud. He still looks a bit worried when we drink out from a glass or cup, but I am just gonna try the treat work every day till he is confident again.

So, Just wanted to know if I dealt with this properly and if I should carry on with what I'm doing???

Any comments would be awesome.

Cheers.
