Default How long does house-training take?

Hello,

I know each puppy is different, but I was just wondering what the general age is for puppies to be fully house-trained.

I have a 13 week cocker spaniel (we've had her for just under four weeks) and she is doing well with the training. She generally asks at the back door when she needs to go out and understands the words we use when we want her to go. But there are still a couple of accidents each day and usually a puddle in her crate each morning. We have had a few completely dry days which is encouraging.

I am generally pleased with her progress, but interested to know how much longer we need to persevere until we can trust her in the living room (brand new carpet!!).

Thanks.
