Default Puppy won't be alone- please help!

I have a 10 week old puppy (mixture of a Jack Russel and not sure what else) and she refuses to be alone!

She loves to play in the garden with all her toys but won't stay there if we don't sit with her the whole time. When I leave her outside to play she goes ballistic and cries non stop!

I am taking her with me to work, so she doesn't need to be alone for too long but I need to know if I must just ignore her and leave her outside?

How can I get her used to this without thinking it is a punishment? Often after I have let her back inside, she will mess inside after having just been in the garden.

Thanks in advance!
