Puppy Sit Command.

How to get your puppy to sit on command.

Puppy Sit Command

The sit command is the command you will use the most with your puppy when you're greeting guests, in the vets, or just putting down food, you will need your pet to sit. To teach this command put on your pets lead and kneel down next to them. Next, place you one hand on the puppy's rear and one on their chest. In a clear and firm tone say 'sit'. Gently apply pressure to make them sit and reward him by petting him on his chest. When he sits, tell them they are a 'good boy/girl' and pet their chest once more. Do this throughout the day while you play with him, pet him or feed him. Always make sure to reward him for his good behaviour so he learns to enjoy the command. The more they enjoy doing it, the more likely they will do it again and consistently thereafter.
